Talked to HellBlazer (one of the creators of Encyclopaedia Metallum) and he told me about a few php frameworks I'm going to look into to make this site a little better (and easier to maintain). I also told him if I can work something out that's up to par with their site, I'd see about making a sister-site to them - but all glam or *core bands (glam being the more likely choice) - but he hasn't responded to that yet. Actually, I'm really liking that idea, so, hopefully, I can figure one of these framework systems out and make a worthy site. This means it will probably be a while before anymore updates are made to this site.

Actually, I've played around with CodeIgniter (which isn't one of the systems HellBlazer mentioned), but didn't really get too far into the figuring-it-out process before I went with what we currently have in the works. I'm going to give it another try before I switch to one of the systems he suggested.

Just spent a few days making a few changes. Links are only clickable and albums only show up if the page for them exists - this means you can click any link you see and it should show up. I'm also thinking of scrapping the news and events feeds 'cause I cannot figure out why they prevent the page from loading (or how to fix it rather).

Mutiny Within has just been added to the list of bands. They are also now in the menu. Enjoy.

Added Arch Enemy to the list, as you've probably noticed. Again, no albums, but at least I'm getting somewhere with this again. More to come soon.

Finally got around to making a news entry for Immortal. Figured I was adding ones for other artists, I should make one for every artist I've added.

Just finished the Exodus page. Again, no albums have been added - I'm going to try to finish all the artist pages others link to.

Just added a Bullet For My Valentine page. Haven't added any albums, but the artist page is finished. This page has been on the site for a while, but I finally finished it (and remembered to make a news entry for it).

So, apparently, the artist pages haven't been loading completely - looks like the News & Events feeds are the problem (if it doesn't get the feed, the rest of the page doesn't load). It works on my computer, but not on the server - guess I'll remove the feeds until I can figure out how to make them work.

I'm also going to make an attempt at learning to use a mySQL database - maybe it will lead to me being able to add a "today's birthdays" (for musicians and producers) item to the home page. Making a few other changes to the home page as well.

As you can see, there are links everywhere on the artist pages that don't work... yet. It may be some time before I get all those pages made, but all the links in the menu on the side work. That list will always be up-to-date too, so keep an eye on it.

Changed the name and url to the forum - I decided I'd add a link on my blog so maybe there'd be even more people joining. Anyway, the new board can be found here.

I've just added a way for members of the forum to submit artists and albums they'd like added to the site.
